We know that God loves Fullerton, so we want to partner with him in what he's doing here. Below, we list some of the ways we are serving our city. We invite you to join us!

One of our passions and gifts as a community is prayer. And we believe that prayer is an important way of serving our city. We gather regularly to intercede for our city, praying that God's kingdom would come and his will would be done. Sometimes we prayer walk through downtown Fullerton. Often we do this with other churches. Location and time varies, so check our Upcoming Events page for more info.

Homeless Ministry

We believe that God has called us to serve our neighbors in downtown Fullerton who are struggling with homelessness. If you have a heart for serving our homeless neighbors, we invite you to participate in our mobile Laundry-Shower Ministry. The primary purpose of this ministry is developing ongoing relationships with our homeless neighbors, showing them the love of Christ, human dignity, and friendship. We engage in conversations with our guests and provide them with a full lunch, showers, laundromat services, donated items, and resource referrals. This ministry is offered on the first and third Saturday of each month, from 1:00pm to around 4:00pm in the Methodist Church parking lot (just outside of In The Vine’s east exit). For more info, contact Marsha Grim.

We also participate in homelessness training offered by our partner organization, FACT (Fullerton Advocating Community Transformation). Check our Upcoming Events page for future dates.

Women's Jail Ministry

In The Vine is in its first stages of beginning a women’s jail ministry.  If you feel called to serve women behind bars, we invite you to join our ministry!  Both men and women are welcome!

Opportunities for Seekers

While each of the forms of service mentioned above has the potential to lead to spiritual conversations, we recognize that there is a place for more intentional forms of gospel outreach to our community. As opportunities emerge, these will be posted on our website.

This season, our main way of serving those who are spiritually seeking is Alpha – an opportunity for people to explore the big questions of life and the person and teachings of Jesus in an informal setting. If you have friends who are newcomers to Christianity, or who are re-exploring the faith and might be interested in attending, we encourage you to invite them to join us.

Although there is something special about the body of Christ coming together to serve, one of our chief desires is to equip and empower our people to serve others in the context of the rhythms and routines of their everyday lives, whether at school, at work, or at a local coffee shop. So we affirm that not all outreach has to be an official church endeavor. If you are serving the city in an organic way, let us know if there’s any way we can be a resource to you.

Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.
